This is an example document for a fictional app. Replace every part of it with your own before you publish, and have someone qualified check it. It isn’t legal advice, and it doesn’t cover any particular country’s rules.

What this covers
These are the terms for using Coinbramble, the app and this website. Using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read, so where a sentence could be plain or precise, it is plain.
The app is in beta
Coinbramble is in beta on iPhone and Android. Beta means features can change, move or be removed, and it means something can break that worked last week. We try not to lose anyone’s data and we keep backups, but you should not rely on Coinbramble as the only record of anything you would be sorry to lose. Export your data from the app if it matters.
Your account
You need an account to use the app, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. One account is one person; if you want several people on one budget, add them to the budget rather than sharing a login.
Shared budgets
If you add someone to a budget, they can see and change what is on that budget, including receipt photos. If you remove them, they stop seeing it from that point. Decide who to add accordingly.
Plans and payment
The plans and prices are on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, and you can cancel in the app under Settings. Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves you on the free plan at the end of the period you have paid for. If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to you.
What you may not do
Do not use Coinbramble to break the law. Do not upload someone else’s receipts or personal documents without their say-so. Do not try to get into anyone else’s account or budget, or into parts of our systems you have not been given access to. Do not resell access to the app.
Your content stays yours
The receipts, amounts and budgets you put into Coinbramble are yours. You give us permission to store and process them so the app can do its job, and that permission ends when you delete the content or close your account. We do not claim ownership of anything you put in.
Our side
The app, the name, and this website are ours. You may use the app as it is offered. You may not copy the app or take it apart to build your own.
Ending it
You can stop using Coinbramble at any time and close your account in Settings. We can suspend or close an account that is breaking these terms, and we will say why unless we are not allowed to.
If something goes wrong
Coinbramble is provided as it is, and beta software carries more risk than finished software. Tell us what broke and we will try to fix it.
What this example leaves out, on purpose
A real version of this page needs the parts that depend on where you and your customers are: which country’s law applies, how disputes are settled, the limits on liability that your law allows, and any consumer rights you cannot sign away. This example makes no statement about any of those, because they change with jurisdiction and guessing would be worse than leaving the gap visible. Have someone qualified write them for you.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we change this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what you are paying for, we will tell you before it applies.
